Since setting up Roots & Wings in 2004, Vijay has specialised in strategic consulting, leadership development, training, group/ individual coaching and facilitation. His clients include: Aircel, Bank Of America, Britannia, ICICI Bank, Ericsson, Fidelity, GroupM, IBM, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Monsanto, Murugappa Group, Nike, Nivea, Ogilvy & Mather, Societe Generale, Unilever, Vodafone, Western Union and WPP.

Previously, Vijay spent 21 years with Ogilvy & Mather in various leadership positions. He has lived in Mumbai, Bangalore, Singapore, London, and Hong Kong, working with major corporations and leading brands around the world. His last assignment was on Ogilvy’s Asia-Pacific Board as Regional Strategy Director, overseeing Corporate Strategy, Account Planning and Training/Talent Development for 20 countries across Asia.

Vijay has been a guest lecturer at many institutions of higher learning, including Indian Institute of Management, Jamnalal Bajaj, S.P.Jain, Symbiosis and Xavier Institute of Communications.  He has contributed to curriculum design at MICA and Sophia Polytechnic. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Social Communications & Media Department of Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai

He (and his wife, Nilima) also counsel and conducts retreats for people recovering from serious illnesses, based on his personal encounter with cancer in 2001. Their book, based on their cancer experience, will be published by Hay House shortly.
