Anil is the founder and managing director of the Prerna Centre of Learning. He is currently advising companies on building effective, endearing and enduring businesses and is also an Executive Coach for some CEOs/CXOs. Anil has also worked with the GOI as a Member of the Task Force on Strategy Formulation and the deployment of the Results Framework Document.
An Engineer and a Post Graduate in Management from IIM Bangalore, he has nearly 40 years of experience in the steel, IT, telecom and manufacturing sectors. Before founding the Prerna Centre of Learning, Anil worked with Bharti Airtel for 11 years as CEO, President and Corporate Director.
Under his leadership, Airtel established itself as the leading mobile operator in the country and was continuously awarded the best ‘Cellular Service Provider in the Country’. During his tenure at Bharti Airtel, Anil spent a considerable part of his time in identifying, developing and mentoring talent across the organization.
Anil was the Business Head and President at Indchem Electronics (Sanmar Group) for 10 years and was instrumental in introducing digital EPABX, Microwave and Digital Cross Connect equipment in India. He was also the lead member of the JT Mobile - Sanmar consortium which won and acquired 3 mobile circle licenses in the country.
Anil has served as the Chairman of the Cellular Operator Associations of India (COAI), a member of the Executive Management Committee of GSM Association, U.K. and a member of the National Telecom Committee, CII.
